Milan-based fashion stylist and creative consultant Simona Melegari has continuously worked in the industry for over twenty years. She is the forerunner of a new generation of Italian stylists that have conceptualized in their work influences from art, music, youth cultures and street style.
Simona started her career in the mid Nineties as a fashion editor of the “bible of fashion”, “Collezioni” magazine.
In 1999 she was appointed editor of Sport & Street, a magazine that became a playground for experimentations on new esthetics and unusual collaborations.
At the same time, Simona became the Italian editor of London based magazine “Spoon”. She styled editorials and scouted photographers and teams in Italy creating a new international esthetic for Italian fashion publishing.
Soon after moving to Milano, in 2003 Simona became fashion director of the Italian edition of Rolling Stone magazine. With her fashion and celebrities editorials she contributed to the creation of an unconventional and disruptive voice in the Italian publishing industry that is still considered a milestone for the industry of the years 2000.
Simona’s vision of fashion and styling has always been connected with creative direction. Something that is still remarkable now in her work as a freelance consultant and fashion stylist.
